Tiki Oasis 2013 Kicks off In San Diego

Attention all tiki lovers, San Diego is your destination for the weekend!!

Tiki Oasis 2013 has officially hit the SoCal area as of tonight.  The yearly convention of all things Tiki is kicking off with a cocktail reception on the bay and tomorrow convenes at The Crowne Plaza Hotel. All things retro kitsch Polynesian will be in play. There is art, food, a car show, burlesque performances, as well as bands for all to enjoy.

Tiki Oasis is a series of events over 4 nights and 3 days. We recommend you purchase a Full Weekender Wristband to really appreciate the whole event! Arrive Thursday night for our “Meet & Mingle” at the Bali Hai featuring live music, dinner upstairs by reservation, and dinner buffet downstairs. Get a jump on Registration at the Bali Hai. Friday – Sunday enjoy daytime events such as dj’s, shopping, symposiums, car show, and drinking cocktails while relaxing in the pool. On Friday and Saturday nights the adventure begins with main stage bands and a midnight burlesque show… stay for the finale closing party on Sunday featuring early dinner BBQ and dancing to Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys! Of course, you should decide what type of experience you would like at Tiki Oasis…. so we have included options for you below including the VIP wristband which allows entrance to (almost) all events AND your very own collectible Tiki Oasis 13 Tiki Mug designed by Bosko!!! It’s all quite very exciting for anyone into the retro mid-century vibe. And I think San Diego is a great location for all of it go down in.

There are a few (VERY FEW) tickets left for events that run through Sunday. If you’re interested why not head down to the Crowne Plaza Hotel just to see if you can get in?
