In order to recuperate from the Bastille Day festivities this weekend, the Tour de France will have a rest day today!!!
Sleep tight you Alp climbing cyclists! It’s going to be a busy week.
And if you celebrated a little too hard, click here for a few “cures” from those who knew best-
A Ramos Gin Fizz popular at the Sands in Vegas, while the Rat Pack ruled the town: Mix Lemon juice, Egg white, Powdered Sugar, Orange flower water, Cream and Gin topped with soda.
Or you could choose one of Dean Martins two ideas; A malted and a steam, or since it’s France “drink a bottle of very, very dry champagne the next morning“
2 pints good-quality vanilla ice cream, slightly softened (recommended: Haagen-Dazs)
3 to 4 tablespoons malt powder
6 ounces chocolate sauce, divided
Whipped cream, for garnish
Shaved bittersweet chocolate, for garnishPlace 1 1/2 pints of ice cream, malt powder, and 4 ounces chocolate sauce in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour shakes into 2 tall glasses, leaving a little room at the top. Place an extra scoop of ice cream on top of each shake and drizzle the remaining 2 ounces chocolate sauce over. Garnish with a large dollop of whipped cream and some chocolate shavings. Serve immediately.
