Suspect in David Zabriskie Thefts

zabriskie thief maybe

A few days ago we told you that world class cyclist, David Zabriskie, returned home after the Tour of California only to find his home burglarized! The Salt Lake City police now have a suspect in the theft of over $200,000 in cycling equipment, awards and Marvel Comic statues.

Police said Wednesday they are now looking for Leopold Jay Howard and believe he is the primary suspect in the robbery. Howard is 5-foot-6 and 145 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a scar across the top of his nose.

But detectives said Howard might have changed the color of his hair to bright red and expect he could continue to change his appearance.

Anyone with information about this case or Howard’s whereabouts should call (801) 799-INFO. Callers can remain anonymous. Please reference case #09-32767.
