Kenny Chesney Closes out CMA Festival
This is almost enough to pack my things up and head out to Nashville Tennessee! The Country Music Association’s multi-day music festival kicks off June 11 and runs through the 14th.
Just added to the list of performers is Kenny Chesney who will not only be playing the festival but will be the closing act.
The 2009 CMA Music Festival is the largest country music party in the world for country’s biggest fans. The annual event in Nashville gives country music fans access to some of the biggest stars with round-the-clock performances, celebrity appearances, fan club parties, autograph booths, photo opportunities and more.
CMA isn’t kidding when it will have celebrity appearances. Some of the performers that are scheduled are Taylor Swift, John Rich, Miranda Lambert, Montgomery Gentry, Jack Ingram Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Julianne Hough, Reba McEntire and Brad Paisley. Just added to the list of performers is Kenny Chesney who will not only be playing the festival but will be the closing act.
It seems only fitting that Chesney close out the festivities as he won the CMAs Entertainer of the Year award for the fourth time last year. When accepting the award last year Chesney was very gracious.
“As much as tonight is about awards, I really believe that being able to stand up here is more about great songs, it’s more about the fans, it’s more about being onstage every night in front of a lot of people that really make it happen for me and the band,” he said. “This is my fourth time standing up here, and I’m really humbled tonight. I really appreciate it.”
If anyone goes, will you please keep me updated? This festival just sounds like a great time!
Oh and the pics are of Kenny taping a Corona commercial :-)
