Golden Globes Get The Look – Games of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke Full Outfit Golden Globes 2014 Red Carpet

All anyone on the gossip/entertainment sites are talking about this morning is the Golden Globes.  Sure people won awards (I sill haven’t seen any of the movies that were nominated), but what I want to talk about, is the Red Carpet.  More specifically, the hair!

Now, Emilia Clarke from Game Of Thrones owned the best wearable hair category.  (Editor’s note – This is what my hair is SUPPOSED to look like, but I cannot ever quite get it to work).   Emilia’s hair has that weightless volume we’re all looking for and that effortless style appearance (but there is some work that goes into it).

Good thing for all of us, Emilia’s hair stylist is spilling his secrets with BusyBeeBlogger.com!

Mark Townsend’s How-To for Emilia Clarke, Games of Thrones:

“I was so inspired by Emilia’s Proenza Schouler gown. The mix of embroideries looked like movement, so I wanted her hair to move beautifully as well.”

Mark’s Step-by-Step
–       I started by prepping her hair by adding a few drops of the NEW Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment in her damp hair and combed through. It is loaded with African macadamia oil which is so nourishing for the hair.
–       Next, I sprayed the NEW Dove Oxygen Moisture Root Lift Spray to the roots and blow dried with a round brush.
–       Then, I took 3-inch sections of hair and wrapped each section around a 1 1/2inch curling iron. The large barrel creates bends in the hair instead of curls.
–       When all the hair had been through the iron, I sprayed Oribe Dry Texture Spray all over to give the hair great texture.
–       I finished by taking a few more drops of the new Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment in my hands and then raked it through her hair to give the hair tons of shine without weighing it down.

I love love LOVE her hair like this.  And it’s doable, whether for brunch, work, date night, or a special occasion like the red carpet at the Golden Globes in a Proenza Schouler gown.
