Go Vintage and Enjoy Cheese Fondue
It is my most favorite food day of the year. April 11 is national cheese fondue day. Retro dining at its most entertaining. So, grab the fondue pot your aunt gave you when you moved out and let’s start getting ready to celebrate.
Who doesn’t love melted gooey cheese covering a delicious piece of crusty bread. All hot and melty… and delicious. Fondue just makes dinner so delicious. Cut up some fruit and vegetables to add to the mix and you have the perfect dinner for either a romantic date, or for the kids to enjoy! Just remember, no double dipping in the fondue pot!

Never had fondue? There are a few rules that you should follow –
- Wait your turn. Allow one person to dip at a time and proceed in a clockwise or counterclockwise fashion around the table.
- Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Dip larger pieces and then cut them into smaller bits on your own plate.
- A moment on the lips is frowned upon. Your fondue fork or skewer should never directly touch your mouth. Transfer your food to your plate before indulging.
- Let it cool. Never blow on freshly dipped hot food. Avoid splatters and allow your food to cool slightly on your plate.
