Cocktail Recipe Thursday: Mint Sparkler W/ Absinthe and Vodka
Oh it’s the best day of the week, cocktail recipe Thursday! That means the weekend is close. With this short work week, it just made every day a little more hectic, so I made your weekend cocktail a little more simple. The Mint Sparkler cocktail is refreshing and bubbly.
I usually just have club soda in my fizzy drinks, so if you like it a little less sweet, swap the lemon-lime for club soda. This sparkling cocktail does have absinthe, the licorice flavored alcohol. If you don’t have any Lucid Absinthe sitting around, you might want to head to Bev-mo and get some. It is a surprisingly versatile member of my bar.
1 oz. Lucid Absinthe
1 ½ oz. pear vodka
1 oz. peach schnapps
4 oz. lemon-lime soda
1 mint sprig
In a cocktail shaker, add Lucid Absinthe, pear vodka, peach schnapps, lemon-lime soda and ice. Shake and strain into a highball glass. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve.
If you absolutely cannot find it, make the cocktail without the absinthe, and enjoy just as is. ;-)
