Breaking Bad Spinoff “Better Call Saul” Trailer and Air Date!

First Look Better Call Saul on AMC

Are you missing Breaking Bad? Have you sat through more binge watching sessions than you would like to admit? How about a little fix for what ails you – AMC has just released new trailer for Better Call Saul and announced an air date.

Saul was the long suffering ambulance chasing lawyer that dealt with all of the ner’ do wells on Breaking Bad, including Bryan Cranston’s Walter White and Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman. Better Call Saul is a prequel to BB, well before Walter White hired him to be his lawyer, and Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) is younger and has a wonderful head of hair.

When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “criminal lawyer.”

The series also stars Michael McKean as Chuck, Rhea Seehorn as Kim, Patrick Fabian as Hamlin, and Michael Mando as Nacho — characters that will represent both legitimate and illegitimate sides of the law.

Breaking Bad creator and showrunner Vince Gilligan and Breaking Bad writer and producer Peter Gould created the show together and serve as co-showrunners of the premiere season. Gilligan directed the first episode of the series, which has already been greenlit for a second season of 13 episodes. The debut season will consist of 10 episodes. [AMC]

Saul will hit the airwaves in FEBRUARY 2015 and has already been slated for a second season.
