As every good southern Californian knows, it’s all about the In-N-Out. I do not care if you are on the new paleo, juicing, all vegan diet. If you are from southern California, you have a weak spot, for the delectable goodness that is the Double Double.

RELATED – When Anthony Bourdain Met Busy Bee Blogger

Even the original New York hipster (he is so going to hate that I said that), chef, writer, and glob trotting eater Anthony Bourdain has a thing or two to say about it. In a video posted on Eater he explains that this is the first place he stops on his trips to L.A. (As someone who moved out of state briefly, I have to agree with Bourdain on this one. One of the first places I loved hitting up was either In-N-Out or a taco stand. SoCal in a biteful.) He also says that there is a certain sophistication about having a bag full of burgers from In-N-Out versus another fast food restaurant. A type of subtle head nod from those who know, not a look of disgust for a greasy bag of patties and fries.

Ohio State’s Ode To TV Land Includes Game of Thrones and Old School TV

game of thrones ohio state

The Ohio State marching band has been a little busy this season. With an ode to TV Land their football game times performance includes old school shows like Dragnet, The Munsters, Hawaii 5-0, and the Lone Ranger. In a hat tip to the modern shows Ohio State marching band weaves in theme songs to Game of Thrones, The Simpsons and even The Office.

All I want to know is, do these young men and women go to class at all? Or do they just spend all of their time practicing on the football field. It is absolutely crazy what they can do in formation out on the Ohio State football field.

Joan Rivers In Critical Condition After Surgery!

Joan Rivers at QVC -fp

Oh dear! Comedienne and long time red carpet critic, Joan Rivers, had a brush with death last night.

During a surgery on her vocal chords, not plastic surgery, Joan stopped breathing and her heart stopped!

According to TMZ -

Joan Rivers was rushed to a hospital in New York City moments ago … after she stopped breathing during a surgery on her throat … TMZ has learned.

We’re told Rivers was undergoing the throat procedure in a clinic (specifically on her vocal chords) … when she stopped breathing during the surgery.

Sources say 81-year-old Rivers was rushed to Mount Sinai hospital in New York.

Come on now Joan, you can’t leave us all yet! Joan is way too up front, and has much more fire to spit at “starlets” on the red carpet to leave us now.

Our prayers are with her and her family. We’re pulling for you Joan.
