What in the world? Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman arrested this morning (September 6) for allegedly choking his girlfriend Tila Tequilla. He was trying to keep her from leaving his house in Poway.

Ok, first…. Merriman is dating Tila Tequilla? WTH! Ok, now that that is over with…. According to local paper Union Tribune.…

His girlfriend, Tila Tequila, 27, signed a citizen’s arrest warrant, charging Merriman with battery and false imprisonment. Deputies responded to a disturbance call about 3:45 a.m. at Merriman’s home near the intersection of Sage Crest Drive and Oak Knoll Drive.

Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, is best known for her reality show, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, which ran for two seasons on MTV. The bisexual dating show features straight men and lesbians vying for Tequila’s affections.

Tequila was taken to Pomerado Hospital. No condition was available. Merriman, 25, was taken into custody by deputies.

What in the world??? Who called the cops? How did teeny tiny Tila get away from Shawne? This sounds really weird!!!

Will the affect his playing with the Chargers? I don’t want domestic abuse associated with the Chargers please. They can make themselves suck enough on the field! I kid, I love my Chargers   But I detest domestic violence.
