Kevin Spacey Takes On Call Of Duty

Kevin Spacey Call of duty

My favorite actor, Kevin Spacey’s badassery knows no bounds. He is currently Hollywood’s new golded boy (again) and I am loving every moment of it. What has the House Of Cards star done this time? He has joined Call of Duty. Yes, the video game.

I hope he just doesn’t get type cast, again. This time as the heavy. Not that I am complaining about seeing him all over the place, again. This made me squeal with glee.

Bill Waterson Of Calvin & Hobbes Illustrates Poster For New Comic Strip Documentary

Calvin and Hobbes fans can can a small party.  Bill Waterson, the beloved illustrator and writer of the long time comic is bringing back his stills for a movie called Stripped.

Stripped is a ”feature documentary on the world’s best cartoonists.”  Waterson designed and illustrated the movie’s poster AND the documentary features the very first audio interview with him.  *As a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan this is very exciting*

“In the right hands, a comic strip attains a beauty and an elegance that really I would put against any other art,” Mr. Watterson says in his interview. Mr. Schroeder said, “It seemed like he really wanted to express some thoughts about comics and cartooning, where they had been and where they are going.” The retired cartoonist was so pleased with the documentary that he also supplied the artwork for the poster of the film. [NYTimes]

The documentary is already available on iTunes and the DVD will be released April 2nd.

January Jones Has Changed A Lot

nine year old january jones

January Jones, who plays my favorite confined housewife, Betty Francis (Draper), on Mad Men, posted THIS unrecognizable photo of herself on Instagram Saturday night. Can you believe this spikey haired gap toothed girl would become a major star in Hollywood?

She captioned the photo with this:

#nofilter #obviously #ilovemy9yroldself

and followed it up with a current day selfie

January Jones Selfie eyes Open

25yrs later, my eyes are more open but less sweet. #whyistherenothingontvonsatnight?

That could be one of the saddest things I have ever read. I hope she didn’t mean it the way I took it.

Angelina Jolie New Maleficent Poster Released – Thoughts?

angelina jolie as maleficent disney poster

Disney Studios released the newest Maleficent poster this morning, and everyone is gaga over it. Angelina Jolie in all her dark glory, with magnificent horns. I think this is what she might look like if you say she should have a sandwich.

Anyway, here’s the description of the Maleficent story line -

From Disney comes ‘Maleficent’ — the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic ‘Sleeping Beauty.’ A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well. [via HollywoodLife]

Meh, I’m not all that into making Maleficent, or Anna as her name is in the original Sleeping Beauty cartoon, into a victim. I like my villains to be be there because they chose to be there. This making her a victim is kind of… stupid.

Anyway, the movie is due out Summer 2014. What do you think of the poster?
