Marilyn Monroe’s Home For Sale

Want to own a piece of Hollywood history? The only home that Marilyn Monroe owned by herself is for sale in Southern California Brentwood, CA.

The listing for the 4 bedroom 3 bath calls it “A Rare Hidden Jewel In Brentwood”. And he is not kidding. This home is gorgeous, but not massive like most of the Hollywood star homes that you now find in the Los Angeles area. This is probably the most visited listing that the agent, David Offer Fine Homes, has had in a long time.

Marilyn Monroe's home in Brentwood California in Southern California is for sale. This is the only home that she owned by herself and was the last home that the Hollywood Icon lived in.

Sprawling and very special authentic 1929 Hacienda situated behind tall gates at the end of a quiet cul de sac on over 23,000 square feet (per assessor) of tree-filled grounds. The crown jewel and largest property of all the Helenas (one of Brentwood’s most romantic and coveted locations) affording lovely vistas and great privacy & seclusion yet in close proximity to San Vicente shops & restaurants and the Sunday Farmer’s Market. Thick walls, traditional casement windows, polished concrete and terra cotta tile floors, original wood beamed ceilings and period hardware & tiles create a warm, inviting and unique environment. French doors open to private courtyard, expansive grassy yard, pool, citrus grove & beautiful setting. Four bedrooms, three baths plus formal living room, family room, office, pool-side game room and separate children’s play house. Sun-filled cook’s kitchen opens to spacious courtyard garden. Wonderful charm and great architecture inside and out. Magical property in the finest Brentwood neighborhood.

Marilyn bought this “Hacienda” at the behest of her therapist at the time. He suggested that in order for her to get a better hold on her life that she “set down roots” and she chose those beautiful home.

Own Marilyn Monroe’s Last Home: Hollywood History

The home has gone through a MAJOR transformation since Marilyn Monroe has lived there. House Beautiful has some great photos from the 1960s of how the home used to look.

It is absolutely a great looking home with a Hollywood Celebrity Icon history that you just cannot pay for. Well, I guess if you have $3,595,000 you can buy this piece of Hollywood history.

Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco Sweeting Gets A New Look!

Cut,color, joy, joy,joy !!! Thank u @clsymonds and Vanessa @andylecomptesalon

Kaley Cuoco Sweeting (Big Bang Theory’s Penny) teased us a few weeks ago with a faux bob on her Instagram. Now, the actress has gone and done it for real!

Here we go! @clsymonds

The actress took to her Instagram to show off a super cute new bob haircut! You can see the new color above but here’s the pic she showed of the new cut.

We did it @clsymonds ! Now let’s get some color shall we ? @andylecomptesalon

Kaley always looked good with her longer hair, but this bob really shakes it up.
I am really loving this shorter hair trend running through the entertainment world. Taylor Swift rocked the best version I have seen yet recently at an awards show.

What do you think of the shorter ‘do? Love it? Or leave it?

The Much Deserved Razzies Nominations for 2013 Johnny Depp, Halle Berry, Ashton Kutcher, Lady Gaga

Every year this SoCal pinup has a hard time taking award shows serious. I tend to disagree with the self aggrandizing Oscars more than I agree, and the Golden Globes this year were just weird. (Wolf of Wall Street is a comedy?)

So, it seems the Razzies are the award show for me! Every year the Razzies “award” the WORST in movies. This year Johnny Depp and Ashton Kutcher get nods, as well as Lindsay Lohan! WoooOOOooo !

The Razzies will be announced the night before the Academy Awards, March 1 2014.

My Nostalgia For Old Hollywood Comes To Life In Wax

How Busy Bee Blogger starts her day old hollywood gossip and new hollywood newsBusyBeeBlogger starts the day with old Hollywood gossip and new Hollwood gossip.

There’s a reason I started this entertainment site. I have an infatuation with Hollywood and the glamour that it promises. Maybe it was the fact that I have grown up in SoCal just about an hour away from LA, or maybe it’s because I always wanted to be one of those beautiful people. The siren call of Hollywood is real, even after all this time of working in the fringes.

I still start my day reading up on new movies, who’s in town here in San Diego area, and of course the latest gossip. Nothing goes as well with coffee as Hollywood news.  And I am absolutely enthralled with old Hollywood.  Anything about old school movie stars,  singers or the history of the town and I’m hooked.

If you ever head this little pinup’s way, and want to visit the land of lights and glamour, there is one way that lets us get up close and personal with all of our favorite stars: The Hollywood Wax Museum.

Movie Review “2 Jacks” Starring Danny Huston, Jack Huston & Sienna Miller

Earlier, I told you how I was sitting down to watch 2 Jacks, starring Danny Huston, Jack Huston, Jacqueline Bisset and Sienna Miller. This retelling of Leo Tolstoy’s short story Two Hussars, bring the characters into a modern Hollywood story filled with glamour and mistakes. A director who is on his way out, another on his way up, beautiful women, decadent parties, gambling, back room deals and late nights.

In this comical adaptation, we get to be a fly on the wall for two parallel night-in-the-life adventures of Jack Hussar (Danny Huston) and his son Jack Hussar, Jr. (Jack Huston from Boardwalk Empire). Jack the older is a struggling on his way down director who is trying to get his career back on track, or at least a room at his favorite hotel. We follow Jack as he goes through various Hollywood parties, wheeling for a new imaginary movie to get made. Filled with beautiful women, plenty of drinks, Jack seems almost hell bent on throwing it all away before he can even grab it. He does manage to grab hold of a beautiful woman, Diana (played by Sienna Miller). Will Jack, despite the rest of his choices, manage to treat well, at least for the night?

Decades later, his very handsome son, Jack Jr. returns to Hollywood, picking up where his father left off. The first time director is here to make a movie, and he runs into the now older Diana  (Jacqueline Bisset) and her equally beautiful daughter. Will Jack Jr. make the same decisions of his father decades earlier? Or will he take a different direction?

I really did enjoy this movie, especially Danny Huston’s performance. He is at once attractive, rough, and humorous in his role at the disillusioned once top of the world director. He’s a little bit Humphrey Bogart, with an Anthony Bourdain twist. At no time do you feel sad for Jack, but rather you are applauding his decisions even if you don’t quite understand how he can be doing them at the time.

I would HIGHLY recommend you see this movie in the theater starting Friday, the 18th. If it is not playing near you, 2 Jacks is currently available with Video On Demand. Seriously. Get some popcorn, a cocktail, and settle in for a great film.
