Dove Wants You To Make A Difference In Girl’s Self Esteem

The first weekend of October, 5-7, Dove held it’s self esteem weekend around the country. This was a time for all of us to discuss what real beauty is with our young women, and girls.

“Let’s Talk” is the theme of this year’s Dove® Self-Esteem Weekend, because you can help a girl develop a positive relationship with beauty by simply having a conversation. To kick-off the Weekend, on October 5thDove® is hosting a self-esteem building rally and then will “Walk the Talk” with mentors and girls from their partner organizations (Girls, Inc., Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Girl Scouts of the U.S.A), by marching in silence to the heart of Times Square. They’re marching in silence to represent all the conversations about beauty anxiety that haven’t taken place.

Building starts at Madonna's Malawi School!

Madonna with Mercy James and Lourdes Leon in tow attended the first brick laying of the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls on April 06, 2010 in Malawi.

Dear Madonna, I know this is something you’re super proud of, and it’s quite the experience for your family, but please, wear sensible shoes when in the dirt.

Loves you!
