Should the glittering vampire play the smelly grunge rocker? That’s the question of the day. It is rumored that Kurt Cobain‘s widow, Courtney Love, is trying to get a biopic up and running about him and she wants Robert Pattinson to play Cobain.

Love is working on a planned Cobain biopic and favors the Twilight star for the lead role, according to the U.K.’s Sun newspaper. (For the record, she wants to cast Scarlett Johansson to portray her.) [via People]

This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard this morning. But there’s still time. It’s not that I see Kurt Cobain as anything more than a depressed musician who did too many drugs and bitched about his success. I guess I just see the rumor of Pattinson playing a musician coming too close to Kristen Stewart playing Joan Jett.
