Lindsay Lohan Might BAIL On Rehab Because Of Cigarettes

I try to stay away from celebrity rumors too much on here as of late, but this whole Lindsay Lohan going to rehab (and/or jail) fiasco is just something I have to talk about. Why? Because as a resident of California I find it both a breath of fresh air and appalling that our legal system is being exposed as the biggest waste of time. Uggg.

Apparently little red haired LL doesn’t want to go to the rehab center she’s signed up for. Why? Because she’s a spoiled brat and she can’t get her way. In less than a day, LL is supposed to arrive at Seafield Center in New York, but she’s looking to get out of it because they won’t let her smoke there. Uhhhh it’s a rehab center, and cigarettes are an addiction, right? Just like booze? Anyway…

Lohan is apparently throwing a diva fit and saying if she can’t have her ciggies like a truck stop waitress then, pshh, she’s not going. Nope she wants to go to Morning Side Recovery here in SoCal. Yeah, she went there a few years ago, too. See how good it is? (Coincidentally, I have been seeing more commercials for Morningside on my junkfood TV shows recently. Maybe they’re offering to comp LL’s “treatment” for exposure?) I do find it odd that she would be able to smoke at Morningside since you can’t smoke anywhere in Socal, not even bars.

Now, LL and her ding bat of a lawyer have not informed the courts in Los Angeles or Santa Monica that she may not be checking in at Seafield Center. Oopsie. But don’t worry, this is California, nothing will happen.

Watch Out Lindsay Lohan Is Back on the Road!

With family in town for support during troubled times actress Lindsay Lohan took a drive around the Santa Monica, California on February 22, 2011 in an shinny black Audi. Lindsay’s mother Dina, sister Ali and little brother Michael Jr. arrived in town last night. This week is said to be a big week for the young actress as she has two court appearances, once on Wednesday for her grand theft case and then again on Friday for a probation hearing. This could be one of the last time Lindsay will be allowed to drive as rumors swirl that the courts are considering revoking probation on her drunk driving conviction from back in 2007 due to the current charges pertaining to the grand theft case. Lindsay’s last appearance cause a great deal of chatter concerning her choice in court appropriate clothing, what will she be wearing this time around?

Lindsay Lohan Would "Never" Steal, Speaks about Court Outfit, Seeks Plea Deal

Little Miss Lindsay Lohan, and her wonky rack, want you to know, that just because she’s been accused of stealing many man many times, she would NEVER steal. EVER!!!!

“i would never steal, in case people are wondering,” she wrote in a Facebook message pasted Thursday night on her Twitter page. “I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal.” [People]

That’s nice Lindsay. As if you’d say, My mom taught me to go out and grab everything I can, even if it’s not mine.

Oh and that painted on dress that she wore to get EVERYONE’s attention? She thinks you should just NOT pay attention to her fame whoring ways!

“what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it’s just absurd,” she writes.

While Lindsay is shaming everyone for giving a flying crap about a withered former child star, her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, is trying to strike a plea deal in her most recent kerfuffle with the law.

“Ms. Lohan maintains her innocence, and now that I’ve seen the police reports, I believe the case is entirely defensible,” lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley says. “Having said that, we will entertain a discussion concerning a plea if it means no jail so that she can move forward with her recovery and her career.”

Entirely defensible? Sure, I walk out with jewelry that isn’t mine all the freaking time. (Insert eye roll here)

Ooops! Lindsay Lohan Violated Her Parole

Oh Lindsay… it’s one step forward and two steps back. It’s coming out that Lindsay Lohan DID violate her parole during her stay at Betty Ford Treatment Center. (Her parole was set to end August of 2011.) It all stems from that tussle with one of the employees.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said Lohan violated probation when she allegedly tussled with a then-staff member at the Betty Ford Center here as she was undergoing three months of court-ordered substance abuse rehab.

Authorities plan to send the result of their investigation to the district attorney’s office to decide if the actress should face battery charges — even though the former staff member has said she will no longer cooperate with the investigation and does not want charges filed, the department said Monday. [CNN]

This does not bode well for LL. Even though Dawn Holland dropped the charges against Lindsay, she can still face up to 180 days in jail for the violation!!!

So, what is going to happen? Will Lindsay head to jail?

It's Judgment Day For Lindsay Lohan

Today is the day that Lindsay Lohan will learn her fate for breaking probation in her DUI case. Lohan was doing cocaine while on probation and wearing another SCRAM bracelet.

So, what might Judge Fox DO today in regards to LL??

• Lohan could be found in violation and be sent back to jail on the spot

• The actress could be ordered to stay in rehab in lieu of jail

• She might skip the hearing if her attorney can provide a letter from the Betty Ford Center demonstrating her progress

• Judge Fox could postpone the hearing all together to see how well she does in treatment [People]

Lindsay has been in the Betty Ford Center for the past three weeks in what could be another stunt to keep herself out of jail. This is the FIFTH TIME she has entered rehab (voluntarily or otherwise). Many times people will enter rehab to avoid jail time thinking that the judge will “go easy” on them since it would look like they are taking steps in the right direction.

“Judge Fox has to balance whether to help Lindsay with her addiction or punish her with jail,” says Sitkoff. “But if she continues to mess up by not following the court’s orders, he won’t hesitate to lock her up.”

In my opinion it’s not the court’s main concern to keep LL sober. That’s HER job. But, if she CONTINUES to break the rules of her contract with the courts, by violating her parole, or simply the laws of the state she chooses to live in, the judge SHOULD punish her for her choices.

We shall see later today.
