Now that Simon Cowell has announced he’s hightailing it out of American Idol this year, there has been an awful lot of speculation as to who will be taking his place. There was word that Poison frontman, Bret Michaels was being courted, but that is said to have ended. So who can take the place of Simon? Would you believe Chris Isaak?
The network is determined to land a widely known music industry figure for the post, and THR has learned that singer Chris Isaak has met twice with the network.[THR]
Another name in the running? Harry Conick, Jr.!
I just don’t see either of these two being cruel enough to the people on the show. I mean, they make good mentors, but I don’t know if they can be brutally honest.
I may have to start watching American Idol if either of these two men make it.

Singer Chris Isaak is out on tour again, or still depending on how you look at it, promoting his new album “Live At the Filmore”. He stopped by the Access Hollywood studios where he talked about his favorite city to play, crazy fans, and future acting!
And just so you know, that fan who hid in his garage was not me. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.

Last night I was so tired from swinging my hammer, don’t ask, that I didn’t stay up for my beloved Chris Isaak on the Tonight Show. Lucky for me, I had set the DVR and was just able to watch him grace Los Angeles with Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing.
It looks like someone got a new shiny suit! Must be for his new tour!
And side note, this man doesn’t age. EVER! Does Chris Isaak have a painting in the attic of his house in San Fransisco that is getting older?
Oh and as my friend would say, Unf!
