This is NOT a good week for Jenny McCarthy. Just days after announcing her split with long time boyfriend, Jim Carrey, Jenny is closing her school for autistic students.

“Jenny and her partner at the Academy, Sarah Scheflen, had different visions for the school and made a decision to go their separate ways,” a rep for Jenny said in a statement to Access Hollywood late Thursday night.

The rep said the women will carry on their work related to autism.

“Both intend to continue on in this important mission,” the rep’s statement continued. “Sarah and Jenny really enjoyed their time working at the Academy and feel honored that they were able to provide such high quality early intervention services to so many children with autism and other developmental disabilities.”[AH]

Jenny became a champion for children with autism after her son Evan was diagnosed with autism in 2005.
