Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardem Welcome Baby

In what is certain to be one of the most genetically gifted babies on the planet, Javier Bardem and his lovely wife Penelope Cruz welcomed a baby boy yesterday (January 25)!

No confirmed details have been released, but this wouldn’t be surprising for the uber private couple. They were married early July 2010 in a secret ceremony and pics were never released to the press. And it wasn’t until Penelope was over 4 1/2 months pregnant and filming the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie that their rep made a statement that they were indeed expecting!!!

The Spanish Magazine Hola [via US] said that Javier and Penelope’s family, Javier’s mom and Pene’s mom, brother and sister, flew in to Los Angeles for the birth of their baby boy.

Congratulations to the greedy good genes family.

Taylor Swift & Jake Gyllenhaal Called It Quits

It’s either weddings or breakups as of late. And for Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal it’s breakup time. After seeing all those coffee shop pictures that came out last year, the two have hung up their Starbucks red cups.

“They’re over,” a source tells PEOPLE about the short-lived relationship. “It ended last month.”

Oh I cannot wait to hear the song out of this one, because according to “sources” it’s pretty juicy. Basically, Jake lead her on!

“Jake reached out to her and started all of this, but now he’s not acting as interested,”

“He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got,” says the insider of the just over two-month romance. “He also said he could feel the age difference. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn’t listen.”

I wonder if broke up with her on Facebook, too! That seems to be all the rage at the moment. Don’t even get me started…

Reese Witherspoon Joins In On The Holiday Engagements

Add another log to the pile.  Petite actress (and Academy Award Winner) Reese Witherspoon decided to jump on the bandwagon and get herself engaged over Christmas.  Well, her boyfriend Jim Toth decided to ask her over the holiday, but that’s just details.

There are no big details, such as how or where he asked but sources are buzzing that he did indeed pop the question recently.

Jessica Simpson Is Engaged!

It’s (semi) official y’all!   Jessica Simpson got her wish, she is engaged to her (former) football boyfriend!!! (hey, she takes what she can get)

Sources confirm to UsMagazine.com that the singer, 30, became engaged to beau Eric Johnson on Thursday, just days after Us broke the news that her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, popped the question to Vanessa Minnillo, his love of nearly five years. Simpson and Lachey, 37, split in 2005, after three years of marriage.

And adding fuel to this fire? Sources say that Simpson was flashing a large engagement ring at an appearance in Kansas City.

The twosome reportedly started dating in May while Johnson was in process of divorcing from his wife. Their divorce was final in October clearing the path for Simpson to get him to put a ring on it.
