Flashback -The Resurgence in Adventure Computer Games

prince alexander on the beach in kings quest 6. Alexander feels a strange pulling sensation.

In the 1990s, I was a girl tied to the computer playing adventure games. You could not tell me that hours of playing Sierra’s Kings Quest and other classic computer adventure games was not the best way for me to pass my time. I absolutely loved the stories, the fun characters, the puzzle solving elements, and the beautifully painted (yes painted) backgrounds that these games had in store for me.

Fast forward to 30 years later and the old school adventure games that many enjoyed as kids are coming back with a bang.  It seems like they are everywhere right now.

Mad Men Season 7 Cast Photos

The final season of retro-vintage-mega-hit Mad Men is finally upon us. AMC has released the Mad Men Season 7 cast photos and they show everyone in a new early 70s light. Oof, the fashion of the late 1960s and early 70s sure was… um… unique.

Don Draper (Jon Hamm) has not changed all too much, he is still slick hair and suits.

Betty Draper/Francis (January Jones) is still my favorite style Barbie. Her hair is amazing.

The only one that surprised me was Megan Draper and her world’s longest eyelashes. I know that was the style for a TV star, but oh emm gee.

Peggy (Elisabeth Moss) remains sweet but strong and Joan Harris (Christina Hendricks) bring her bright colors back. And it looks like Peggy will finally be flying on an airplane. (Previously in another season she told Don she had never ridden on a plane).

Everyone is on the go in these cast photos. I really wonder what this means for the final season.

Are you excited for the final season of Mad Men?

The is the last season of cult hit, Mad Men. Season 7 premieres April 13th on AMC, but until then, we have this teaser.

Yes, it is on the short side, but at least Don Draper looks like he crawled out from the bottle of his bottle and took a shower. I wonder where he is off to leaving Megan, Betty and kids behind. Is Sterling Cooper expanding? We will see starting April 7th.

Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte Drops A Bomb On Fans *Video*

R J Mitte Breaking Bad Had An Alternate ending VIDEO TMZ

Are you sitting down? If you’re in the group of my friends that has been watching the Breaking Bad marathon this weekend, then yes, you are sitting down.

Here it goes, R. J. Mitte, who played Walt Jr throughout Breaking Bad dropped this bomb on us this week. There was an alternate ending shot for the series finale! DUN DUN DUN!!!!!

RELATED: Interview with Breaking Bad’s R J Mitte (Walter White, Jr.)

Now, I thought the finale was PERFECT, it could not have ended better, but it seems that there were others who came up with different twists.

The thing is, R. J. doesn’t say what the alternate ending was, just that it didn’t involve him in the extended shooting.

Will we ever find out what MIGHT have happened to Walt and Jesse in the alternate universe? Dang it now I have to know!!!

Part II — Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad Creator) Answers Fan Questions

Yesterday I posted Part 1 of an AMC interview with Breaking Bad creator and executive producer, Vince Gilligan. Today I have the second half of him answering fan’s questions about the show now that it is over.

Today he answers questions about music he thinks of while writing, and why he casts comedic actors in some of the fan favorite roles.

Q: Why was it important for you to hire comedy actors and stand-up comedians such as Bill Burr or Lavell Crawford? – Random French Guy

A: It wasn’t like we went looking to hire comedians, it’s just that I’ve got a theory that if you can do comedy — first of all you have to be able to act, and there are plenty of stand-up comedians who are not actors — but if you are an actor at heart and you are also a comedian, you can also do drama. People like Bob Odenkirk and Bill and Lavell who happen to be very funny also happen to be very good for the roles that we hired them for. Sharon Bialy and Sherry Thomas, our casting people, brought us actors I’d never heard of before. I have to confess I was not familiar with Bill Burr or his stand-up until Sharon and Sherry brought him to my attention. He was one of those actors brought to my attention before we even had a part for him. And that’s how good Sharon and Sherry were.
