Lawyer Robert Sharipo Makes Official Statement on Lindsay Lohan

Lawyer Robert Shapiro of OJ fame, is now representing Lindsay Lohan. He is also the impetus for her entering the sober living house before her July 20th jail date.

Shapiro even made a statement (shocker) regarding his work with Lindsay.

“I have agreed to represent Ms. Lohan on the condition that she complies with all of the terms of her probation, including a requirement of jail time that was imposed by Judge Marsha Revel,” Shapiro says in the statement.

He continues: “Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with. Hopefully, I can be of assistance to Ms. Lohan and Judge Revel in implementing a treatment approach recommended by medical professionals for Ms. Lohan’s long term recovery and sobriety.” [OK]

I have no idea why Lindsay is wanting to stay with Shapiro if he insists on her spending ALL of the time in jail that Judge Revel handed down. I mean, wasn’t she fighting any jail time?

Katie Holmes Escapes Car Fire On Set

Filming on the set of Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark got a little more interesting this weekend. Radar Online is reporting that while actress, Katie Holmes was filming a scene inside a car, the car battery ‘exploded’. And, no, it wasn’t part of the scene.

Katie got out of the car before it caught fire and everyone is fine. I guess she won’t be needing that cup of coffee this morning.

Leona Lewis thrown from horse, splits lip

Leona Lewis, breakout star from the X-Factor was in a bit of a horse accident.

The Mirror (via OK!) reports that during a ride on her horse, he unexpectedly headbutted her, splitting her lip and knocking her down.

“Leona has been riding since she was a child and has never had a fear of horses. So she was really shaken up when the horse turned on her,” a source tells the paper. “Something startled the horse and it flicked its head back and smacked Leona full in the face. She was knocked flying by the force of it. Everyone rushed over to see if she was OK, she was holding her face in agony.”

The incident has caused Leona to postpone her newest album to recover from the shock.

“Thankfully she didn’t need any surgery, but she was told to stay at home and rest just in case she passed out with concussion,” the source says. “She doesn’t blame the horse though – it was just one of those things. She had been due in the studio to record, but she felt shaken up so they had to cancel.

Doctors must think she’s ok now, because she was spotted departing at LAX:-)

Get better Leona… and what is it with horses lately? Madonna, and now Leona?

You can't keep her down

She may have taken another tumble from a horse on Saturday, but that won’t keep Madonna from getting her workout on. Tracy Anderson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna’s trainer, works her out for two hours a day, and it will keep happening.

“She doesn’t take time off,” said Anderson, whom Gwyneth Paltrow credits with getting her in shape. “I’m just going to modify [the workout] a little bit and get her moving again.”

I guess that’s to be expected considering it was just some bruising. It would take more than a bruise to keep this woman down, like a broken collarbone, wrist and a few ribs.
