Summers Are For Sangria: Vodka Sangria Recipe

Busy Bee Blogger Summer Sangria Ingredients

Summer Cocktail Recipe

Summer brings out the fun in all of us. We wear our hair a little more relaxed, flip-flops or bejeweled sandals become completely appropriate footwear even in the office, and even our cocktails get a little more laid back with the rules. No Summer cocktail embodies that better than Sangria.

With Sangria recipes are more of a suggestion and an estimate than an exact science. Even when making our new Busy Bee Blogger Sangria recipe, the amounts should be read as -ish: 1 ounce-ish, 1/4 ounce-ish, quarter cup-ish. In that spirits, we’re not using wine for our Sangria recipe, we are using the new UV Vodka Sangria instead. Fantastically easy, and great for people that don’t like red wine. It’s Summer, loosen up a little. Besides, the heat makes it nearly impossible to measure correctly anyway, so just so with it.

Summer Sangria UV Vodka recipe

Busy Bee Summer Sangria Recipe

We wrote this recipe for one, because let’s be honest, you’re not always entertaining others when you want some Summer in a glass. But you can always make this in a giant pitcher and bring it out on the porch for you and your friends. Like I said, this is our suggestions for a great Summer Sangria, go with it.
Ingredients

  • 1 oz. UV Sangria
  • 1/4 oz. Ruby Red Grapefruit UV Vodka
  • 1/4 oz. Triple Sec
  • 1 1/2 oz. Grape and cranberry juice
  • Frozen oranges, strawberries, blackberries, pomegranate seeds
  • Sliced Limes
  • Sparkling water/club soda

Grab your favorite outdoor glass, and place your frozen fruit in the bottom. I suggest muddling the fruit a little but don’t crush them. You want them to be mostly whole. Using these frozen fruits will keep your drink cold without watering it down. Pour in the UV Sangria, UV Grapefruit, triple sec, and juice. Stir. Add enough club soda to fill your glass top with a sliced lime.

TIP
Premake some of this mix and keep it chilled in the fridge, minus the club soda and frozen fruit. That way it is ready to go when you are and it will be nice and cold.

CHEERS!
