Ready for 73 Questions with Anna Wintour?

Anna Wintour answers 73 questions for Vogue

Revered and feared Vogue editor Anna Wintour is the newest celebrity to be asked 73 questions about what makes her.. well, Anna Wintour.

In a very special New York Fashion Week edition ofVogue’s 73 Questions interview series, the magazine’s inimitable editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, gets chased around her offices while answering a series of personal questions. Such queries include: the most overused word in fashion, her guilty pleasure, who she’d want on her team in tennis doubles, how many emails she writes each day, her favorite cocktail and 68 more. The Q&A we found most interesting, however, was about the three things she always has in her bag, besides her phone and lipstick: she “rarely carries a bag.” After all, why would you have to when you’re Anna Wintour? [LuckyMag.com]

What does she have for breakfast? Does she prefer vintage or new fashion? What does she think of the new “IT” borough of Brooklyn? Cooking with marijuana? Sure, she has an answer for that.

She answers all 73 questions with her own brand of dry it, so be forewarned that if you do not notice the smirk on her face, you might think she is being serious on many of her answers. Just don’t ask her for a #selfie.

Ohio State’s Ode To TV Land Includes Game of Thrones and Old School TV

game of thrones ohio state

The Ohio State marching band has been a little busy this season. With an ode to TV Land their football game times performance includes old school shows like Dragnet, The Munsters, Hawaii 5-0, and the Lone Ranger. In a hat tip to the modern shows Ohio State marching band weaves in theme songs to Game of Thrones, The Simpsons and even The Office.

All I want to know is, do these young men and women go to class at all? Or do they just spend all of their time practicing on the football field. It is absolutely crazy what they can do in formation out on the Ohio State football field.

SoCal Based Gaslamp Popcorn Is My New Snack Addiction

Gaslamp Popcorn bags

I have a weakness, for good popcorn. I can eat an entire large bag of cheddar popcorn all on my own and not blink about it. Now, I have a new weakness: Gaslamp Popcorn based right here in the historic San Diego Gaslamp District! A yummy snack that I will eat, and it supports a local business? Um, yes please. Just so you know, these tasty popcorn treats are available online, or in-store at Vons, Safeway and Ralphs, so you will be sure to find them near you, especially here in Southern California.

After eating the package of Kettle Corn popcorn in one night, I decided to bring the Cinnamon Caramel popcorn and the White Cheddar popcorn to work with me, so I could spread the popcorn love around.

Groundbreaking Comedienne Joan Rivers Has Died

Joan Rivers officiating gay wedding in NYC

Joan Rivers Officiating A Wedding Earlier This Year In NYC.

It is with heavy heart that we share the news that groundbreaking comedienne Joan Rivers has passed away. She was 81.

UPDATE- From Joan Rivers’ Facebook Page

“It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother, Joan Rivers. She passed peacefully at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother.

Cooper and I have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received from around the world. They have been heard and appreciated.

My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon.” – Melissa Rivers

The AP is reporting that Joan has died following complications that occurred during a routine throat surgery last week. Joan was kept in a medically induced coma following going into cardiac arrest during the procedure and also stopped breathing.  Apparently, she remained on life support until today.   Her daughter, Melissa, decided to let her mother die peacefully after taking her off life support earlier today.

Joan was a true pioneer for women in comedy, often filing in to guest host the Tonight Show and then hosting her own late night TV talk show DECADES before the likes of Chelsea Handler.

In addition to her often outrageous standup, Rivers was a genius when it came to marketing, both herself and her jewelry on the Home Shopping Network. She was also an early ally of the LGBT community, inviting drag queens onto her 1980s daytime talk show. More recently, she officiated over two same-sex weddings in New York this year. (New Now Next)

In regards to the wedding New Now Next mentioned, Joan posted this on her Instagram -

Some of you might remember the impromptu wedding I performed for Joe Aiello and Jed Ryan at my book signing at Barnes & Noble in July. Since it was totally unplanned, Joe and Jed didn’t have a marriage license on them. They’ve since gotten one, and asked me to marry them again, this time “for real.” So we did it! On Friday, August 15th, 2014 at the Plaza Athenee hotel in New York City, Joseph Aiello officially married William (Jed) Ryan. The ceremony was attended by family and friends, with a wonderful reception following. I’m so thrilled and honored to have been a part of it! Congratulations, Joe and Jed! #JoeAndJed #Wedding

We here at Busy Bee Blogger cannot imagine pop culture without her now.  She was biting, and no holds barred, all cards on the table and we loved every moment of it.  You always knew what Joan was thinking and I would much rather have it that way than to have someone who put on a mask their entire life never taking a stand.

Our hearts and prayers are with her family now.
