San Diego’s Sam The Cooking Guy Returns To TV

Sam The Cooking Guy, Sam Zien, returns to Cox channel 4 with new episodes

Just when you thought it was over, Sam the Cooking Guy announced via social media yesterday that he will be returning to terrestrial TV. In the video, Sam says no one was more surprised than he was but, yes, he will be returning to Channel 4 with all new episodes of Sam The Cooking Guy.

A video posted by @thecookingguy on

Since his hiatus from Cox cable he has still very busy. He has been making his own video podcast, Sam Livecast, where he still cooks in the red kitchen but it’s all done live, spills, mistakes, mouth burning and swearing included. He even has special guests appear to make food with him, and be interviewed. We were interviewed on his Livecast last year during the “Bacon Hot Dish” episode.

This is so very exciting for Sam The Cooking Guy fans. To celebrate, Sam is holding a live Q & A Thursday February 5th on Facebook.

Thank you for all the great comments, and ur not even my mom!
I’ll be hosting a live Q & A Stream Chat right here this Thursday from 7.30pm – 8.30pm Pacific time.

Stay tuned for further details on how to get involved. It’s super easy, free of course and I’d love to hear what you have to say – unless it’s stupid. Oh what the hell, I’ll even listen to the stupid stuff.

So have a cocktail in hand, sit back and let’s chat!

Sam is pretty open and will answer most questions, so this should be fun.

Do you get Sam The Cooking guy re-runs in your area? What do you think about his return to television?

Chicken and Mushroom Bacon Hot Dish - Sam the cooking guy made this amazingly delicious hot dish when BusyBeeBlogger visited him on set last year. This may look like a simple casserole, but it holds together everything that can be amazing about a snow day. This hot dish blends together the delicious flavors of Sriacha, bacon, a nice creamy sauce and of course everybody’s favorite, tater tots. Grab a plate.

Southern California- Are The San Diego Chargers Headed To The Playoffs?

Helmets for the San Diego Chargers are laid out on the equipment table. A big southern California thank you to the Chargers for the VIP tour of the training facility

San Diego Chargers In The Playoffs?

Will Southern California fans of the San Diego Chargers cheer on their team in the playoffs?

Southern California was filled with cheers as the Chargers and 49ers football game rolled over to overtime, and the bolts surprised EVERYONE by taking it all the way. The overtime field goal by Nick “Crabcakes” Novak left a lot of San Diego Charger fans in disbelief and standing on their feet cheering! Can you believe it? They pulled it off! But what does that mean for their playoff hopes.

NFL’s Chargers Are Staying In San Diego, For Now

As if there was any real doubt, but the San Diego Chargers are staying in San Diego! The football team announced last night that they have no intention of going to Los Angeles, at least for the 2015 season. But, between you and me, if San Diego wants to keep the Chargers as part of the Southern California Lifestyle, they should start thinking of ways to get a new stadium.

Chargers Training Center in San Diego, CA

Statement of Mark Fabiani

Special Counsel to the President of the San Diego Chargers

December 16, 2014

On February 1st of every year since 2007, the Chargers have been eligible to terminate the team’s lease for Qualcomm Stadium. And each year since 2007, the Chargers have announced that the team will not exercise the termination clause and instead continue to work toward a permanent stadium solution in San Diego.

Today, the Chargers are making the same announcement that the team has made each year since 2007: The team will not be exercising the lease termination clause and will keep working to find a publicly acceptable way to build a Super-Bowl quality stadium in San Diego. Calendar year 2015 will constitute the team’s fourteenth year of work on a San Diego stadium solution.

14 YEARS of looking for a solution. That is crazy. I must admit that Jack Murphy Stadium, now Qualcomm, holds a special place in my memory, and it is not a terrible stadium, but come on now, 14 years is way too long to sit around wand wait for change. Get it together San Diego!

The Chargers have been in San Diego for almost all of their existence, and with so many season ticket holders here in Southern California it is nice to see that the Chargers want to stay, at least for now.
