There are few things in life that I know I can rely on, especially when I have to venture outside of my BBB headquarters and deal with the *gasp* “Real World”. What an awful thing.

Right now, though, I have a few days of The Fresh Diet again, and it is coming in so handy. I just grab the big insulated bag from my doorstep and head out the door.

Today, I was feeling generous with my meals. After eating my breakfast of fruit and yogurt I gave Bee Dad the Fresh Diet bag, so that he could have something to eat! He’s been taking care of GP (you know, from the Rock Out Beat Cancer event), and i know the LAST thing he’d be thinking about is making lunch or dinner.

Oh, and he is looking forward to my cheesecake. Oooh MY CHEESECAKE! I must reallllly like him if I’m giving up that!

The Fresh Diet joins TwitChange for Haiti!

They’re not just a tasty food delivery company. Nope. The Fresh Diet is giving as well! TDF has joined twitter charity group TwitChange.

The Project The Fresh Diet has joined will be benefiting aHomeinHaiti.org as they rebuild The Miriam Center which houses and educates special needs children in Haiti.

TFD bid on 17 different celebrities tweets, and those tweets are benefiting AHomeInHaiti.org!

This isn’t the FIRST charity The Fresh Diet has been a part of. TFD was a HUGE part of BusyBeeBlogger’s fundraiser “Rock Out Beat Cancer” in JUNE!

10 Questions With DSC's Quiet Talking James

The DSC this BACK ON AIR in San Diego thanks to 100.7 Jack FM. In order to celebrate with all of us, the DSC is bringing in some very special guests this week. Yesterday (August 3) it was Quiet Talking James!

He was already grilled about his love life and his “arch enemy” Tony Mason on air, so Busy Bee asked QTJ if he would answer 10 questions (from DSC listeners!!) for Busy Bee. So sit down and have a cocktail the questions are about to start.

1. How did you start calling in to DSC? Did they give you the name “Quiet Talking James”?

HERE IS HOW I REMEMBER IT:
I HAVE BEEN A FREQUENT CALLER INTO THE SHOW SINCE IT’S INCEPTION, BUT ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO I GUESS I WAS MORE FREQUENT THAN USUAL. IT GOT TO THE POINT WHERE EMILY KNEW MY VOICE WELL ENOUGH THAT SHE DIDN’T HAVE TO ASK WHO WAS CALLING. ONE CALL IN PARTICULAR, CHAINSAW COMMENTED THAT JAMES WAS A “QUIET TALKER” AND HE AND DAVE WENT INTO A FRENZY OF MOCKERY AND I LAUGHED WITH GLEE AND REMARKED THAT “I WAS A PUPPET!!!” AFTER THAT I WAS QTJ. WHICH CAUSES EVERYONE WHO KNOWS ME TO COUGH UP IN SHOCK, BECAUSE NATURALLY MY SPEAKING VOICE IS PRETTY LOUD. BUT BECAUSE IT’S LOUD I TEND TO OVER COMPENSATE WHEN I TALK ON THE PHONE. I AM SELF CONSCIOUS THAT I MAY BE ‘SHOUTING’. IN 2005 WHEN I WON THE JINGLE CONTEST WITH ‘SINATRA ASNR’ I WAS RECOGNIZED BY A WIDER GROUP OF DSC FANS. AFTER THAT IT’S BEEN JUST FUN BEING KNOWN AS A WANNABE.

2. What do/did people do when they realized YOU were QTJ? (then and now)

I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT POSITIVE AND SUPPORTIVE COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE REGARDING THIS. PEOPLE SEEM GENUINELY HAPPY TO MEET ME, BUT I HAVE TO TRIBUTE THAT TO THE POPULARITY OF THE SHOW… BEING PART OF SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE IN SAN DIEGO LOVES.

3. You were on the show this AM (Tuesday August 3rd). How did that happen?

EMILY EMAILED ME LAST WEEK AND ASKED IF I WOULD LIKE TO COME INTO THE STUDIO AND CHAT ABOUT WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON DURING DSC’S HIATUS. I WAS THRILLED. AND SO WILL ALL OF YOU WHEN YOU KNOW THAT BLIND STAN AND TONY MASON WERE ASKED AS WELL! ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HOW MUCH DSC MAKES THE LISTENERS PART OF THE SHOW.
