Happy Watermelon Day! What a fun day to have in the middle of a hot sticky summer. It might be everyday in Summer here in Southern California. If you are in the mood to celebrate watermelon day, today, I have a few tips and watermelon recipes for you to try out with your family and friends.

The easiest way to serve up your watermelon would be just to cut one into chunks and put it in a bowl. Or even easier, just a wedge of watermelon and lots of napkins! I especially like my watermelon with lime on top of it. Just a nice squeeze to make things a little tart.

Watermelon Feta Salad. Recipe
This has by far been the most popular recipe here on the Southern California lifestyle blog. There is just something about the salty feta cheese with the sweet of the watermelon that just makes it irresistible.

Watermelon Cocktail Ideas and Recipes

You can also use watermelon in cocktails!

To prepare the watermelon as tasty ice cubes, you can either cut the watermelon into cubes and them freeze them in a bag.  Or, if you want to change it up a little bit, you can get the melon baller out of storage and freeze those little globes to cool off your drinks later in the day.  Your guests with be quite surprised.  What a little treat.
