La Jolla Half Marathon Celebrates Boston “Sweet Caroline” VIDEO #bostonstrong

The La Jolla Half Marathon was on Sunday, and I am still recovering. 13.1 miles along the Southern California coastline was gorgeous but tough!

Joe for The Marathon Show put together this video to show our support for Boston! We as runners hold a certain type of brotherhood, and we all send our love and prayers to the city.

You may even catch a very tired pinup in there somewhere. Just look close enough.

Chargers Football Training Center VIP Tour

BusyBeeBlogger.com was a VIP for the day at Chargers Training Facility

It’s NFL Draft day! So I thought I’d take the time to show you the behind the scenes tour that I was able to go on a few days ago. Busy Bee Blogger was invited to take a VIP tour of the San Diego Chargers training facility. How cool is that?

As a former Athletic Trainer, and a San Diego county girl, I jumped at the chance to see what the Chargers get to see every day during training.

Those of us on the tour were able to hear from the running back coach about the goals for this year (win the Super Bowl), and see the various meeting rooms. Special teams, main room etc…

Then we were taken down the halls to the equipment room. The Chargers’ uniforms were placed out for all of us to see.

Can you believe the size of this shoe?

The hallways were covered in memorabilia, posters of players, vintage trading cards, and other vintage items. Not a bad way to inspire the current players and those trying to make the team.

We were also allowed into the players’ private locker room. *no photos allowed in this area* Motivational notes, balls to be signed, clean uniforms and team memos in every locker.

I want to thank the San Diego Chargers and Joe Likey for letting BusyBeeBlogger.com be a part of this great experience. And good luck with the draft later today!!

PGA Hahn birdies No. 16 at Waste Management celebrates Gangnam Style VIDEO

The Waste Management Phoenix Open is not your normal golf competition. It’s full of yelling and booing, and the 16th hole is made into an arena!

Today on the 16th hole, Hahn birdied his shot and celebrated Gangnam Style.

My Favorite Thing About Football Is The Food

Yes, I know that the “Big Game” is on today. And to be honest, I don’t really care who wins. All I care about, is the food.

A friend of mine send me something I might try out today, Buffalo Chicken Cupcakes. They even have blue cheese frosting on the top.

If those don’t work, I’ll just have to make Sam The Cooking Guy’s Buffalo Chicken PIzza. He made that when I went to his class and it was amazing.

Yes, the game for me, is all about the food.

Carlsbad Marathon & Half TODAY!!!

Good morning little bees and pinups.

It’s race day, so that means I have been up since 4:30. Luckily I still get to have my cup of coffee before we take off.

If you are in San Diego north county, please be aware of the street closures, and how they might impact your plans. Or you could always come down to cheer on the 1,500 marathon runners and 8,500 half marathon runners. We’d love to have you there.

If you cannot make it to the race, you can always follow your favorite runner online. There are directions here.

Just please, if you see us making a beeline for the porta potty, let us use it first. We’ll really appreciate it.
