Doing the National Anthem is NOT an easy fete. And being a comedian doing the National Anthem, I think there’s a lower expectation *I’m just saying*.
But get this straight, Jack Black ROCKED it. ROCKED IT at the WNBA LA Sparks game.
I am so impressed. Way to go Jack.

So, um, last night, before the Kentucky – Kansas NCAA title game last night, The Fray decided to do what we are assuming is the National Anthem. It was very special… oh who am I kidding it was not good.
The Denver rock band tried to rework the 198-year-old song into a modern hipster version and failed in every respect. Finger-picking mood guitar, emo vocals and a guy doing his best impersonation of a Civil War drummer boy make not for a fine anthem. If you weren’t listening to the lyrics, you’d have never known the band was singing our national anthem. [Yahoo Sports]
I don’t know why “artists” think that they need to screw with The National Anthem. Just go in, do a good job, DON’T do vocal gymnastics, then leave. TADA!
