Today BusyBee took a field trip to Malibu, or Pacific Palisades depending on who you ask, to see the Getty Villa. This is not to be confused with the Getty Center, though owned by the same man originally.
This place is gorgeous! Overlooking the ocean, The Getty Villa was originally J. Paul’s home in Malibu. And it. IS. HUGE! It was reopened as an educational center/ museum to the public in 2008.
There are always the Greek and Roman antiquities are on display but right now there are changing exhibitions.

I have to say, though, that my favorite part of it all, was just standing in between the two gardens with the breeze. I could hear the fountains behind me, and see the large pool, fountains and ocean in front of me. It’s quite the place, and it’s free. *parking is $15*
If you can visit the Villa, please do. But remember it’s a museum or sorts, no yelling or running. Oh and you can only touch the Venus
