DAMN! Madonna’s not holding back any punches when it comes to her split with Guy Ritchie. Leave it to the British press, THE DAILY MAIL, to snag all the dirty details on just what her team of lawyers will be presenting against her soon to be ex.
When they first got married, Madonna stated she loved that Guy would stand up to her, but I guess the novelty wore off. Her team is saying that he would belittle her in front of other people, and when she turned 50, he said she looked like a “granny” onstage. OUCH. That had to hurt the woman who’s life is her image.
Her lawyers say that 40-year-old Ritchie’s comments made Madonna feel worthless, unattractive, unfeminine, insecure and isolated during their eight-year marriage.
A source close to the couple told the Mail: ‘It might seem incredible that Madonna should be suggesting Guy was the dominant one in this marriage and that she was somehow the belittled party.
But the thing about divorce is that there are always two very different perceptions of what went on.
‘In this case, Guy has come out rather badly. They concentrate on the belittling comments Guy has made to Madonna. There were times where he would ridicule her humour and say how Americans had no sense of humour.
‘He would laugh sarcastically at her jokes and take the mickey out of her in front of other people. Also brought up are times when they went out for a meal where Madonna would accuse him of eyeing up a waitress.’
‘She felt particularly vulnerable and felt Guy played on that, telling her that she looked “past it”, which would damage her confidence. ‘She is alleging he would tell her that she really should give up the live touring and that she looked like a granny compared to the nubile youngsters dancing with her on stage.
DANG! I guess the gloves have come off. I don’t really blame her with her $500 Million estate at stake.
So I was driving to Long Beach last night, after news of Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s divorce was announced. And I actually sad, as if someone I knew was breaking up. I know, I have issues. So I put in her new CD, and was really struck by “Miles Away” “She’s Not Me” and “Devil wouldn’t recognize”. It’s so sad that everyone thinks that it’s Madonna is the one who’s leaving, or that she was the bitch.
Well, it seems that I wasn’t the only one touched by MILES AWAY. While i was in the car listening to it, Madonna was on stage in Boston singing it. But before she performed it she had a little something to say.
“With a $150 million divorce looming, Madonna couldn’t resist launching a thinly veiled attack on her soon to be ex husband Guy Ritchie as she took to the stage in Boston last night. Before she sang ‘Miles Away’, which Madonna previously claimed was inspired by Ritchie, she told the audience: ‘This song is for the emotionally retarded. Maybe you know some people who fall into that category. God knows I do.’ The lyrics hint at a couple growing apart: ‘When I’m gone you’ll realize/That I’m the best thing that happened to you.’ She also opened the show, which took place just hours after her spokesperson confirmed the split, with her track I’m Not Sorry, telling the 20,000-strong crowd: ‘That’s right, I’m not sorry.’”

Who knows….She’s a strong independent woman, but it seemed that she was really in love with Guy. Who knows, maybe she is a bitch, and he just couldn’t take it any longer. Maybe those mysterious bruises on her were there for some reason other than falling. Maybe it’s just sad in all areas.
Madonna started off her “Sticky and Sweet” tour today in Cardiff, and the part everyone’s been talking about is here! heehee. Britney Spears’ cameo. I was wondering how these two were going to work the whole “Britney Trapped in an elevator” theme… and i LOVE it. I mean, besides HUMAN NATURE being one of my favorite songs, it’s just so good, Brit Brit looks pretty good, and the irony of her with the song is just perfect. Madonna is a crafty one.
