The Interview Where We Talk Cocktails, Love and Books #BrujaOnBooks

bruja on books is yolanda shoshana's radio show that explores women and writing

Earlier this week I was interviewed by the wonderful Yolanda Shoshana for her radio show, Bruja on Books. Yolanda is known as an erotica author, a spiritualist, and all around bad ass woman. On her show, Bruja on Books, we discuss how to build a great bar and what spirits to have on hand for the holidays, what my favorite cocktails are to drink at home and while I am out, and we cannot forget the best cocktails to serve when you’re feeling frisky. And since it is a show about books, I also give Yolanda my favorite cocktail books for you to enjoy.

A new episode of my radio show, ‪#‎BrujaOnBooks‬ has dropped. This episode I chat with Cari Bee from Busy Bee Blogger. We talk cocktails, love, and seduction. Me to the ow! (Yolanda Shoshana’s Google plus)

Classic Cocktail Bible – Get the basics down before you go crazy with the mixology. This was the book I suggested that all new cocktail lovers pick up. This cocktail book has a great list of classic cocktail recipes with beautiful pictures for you to reference.

Booze for babes

Booze for Babes™: The Smart Woman’s Guide to Drinking Spirits Right – This is the one book that I would give any woman turning 21. It not only tells you all about cocktails and what goes into them, but it helps you understand spirits and what would go well with certain foods. It is better to be educated about what you are drinking. I think it makes the experience better and more enjoyable.

Savory Cocktails: Sour Spicy Herbal Umami Bitter Smoky Rich Strong – Not in the mood for something sweet? This is a great refernece that I reviewed years ago. It takes the cocktail and gives them a savory twist. Great for those that are tired of the coconut, butterscotch, concoctions that are so popular.
