Did you not prepare for St. Valentine’s Day? Did you end up with a last minute date? Did you get a gift this morning from someone that you weren’t planning of getting a gift for? Hey, it happens. I am here to save your tushy with some last minute gift ideas.
* You don’t have to get a card today. I’m not much one for Valentine’s Day cards anyway. They are always “I love you more than anything ever” and usually, my relationships aren’t that far, yet. So SKIP the cards!
* If you don’t have wine in reserve at home, you can head to the grocery store, or BevMo is having their 5 cent sale! Even if the wine you like isn’t on sale, there is always some good, inexpensive bubbly. They also have cheeses, sliced meats, and other snacks perfect for a coffee table date.
* For that special man, I say head to The Art of Shaving. There are locations nationwide, and one in Fashion Valley. You can get a nice grooming kit for you man. It’s an indulgence most won’t buy themselves.
* … OR if you’re in North County, get him a gift certificate to Straightedge Barber Company in Vista. This is an old school barber shop. Get him a straightedge shave and hair cut. I have friends that go there all the time and they LOVE IT! If I was a man I’d be there every week.
* Want to spoil them? How about a spa visit! Ocean Day Spa in Carlsbad has gift certificates available. AND if you cannot make it to the spa to buy the gift, you can purchase them ONLINE and print them from your desk! (www.OceanDaySpaCarlsbad.com)
* And finally, if you don’t know what to DO for your date, Fifty Barrels Wine Group in Oceanside is having a wine tasting with appetizers! Good for couples and singles. See, date taken care of!
