Christmas is just around the corner and you know what that means: a Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey duet! Okay, so maybe that isn’t the holiday gift you had in mind, but the two will be joining forces for a remake of Mariah’s 1994 hit “All I Want for Christmas.” The song will make its debut on Bieber’s upcoming holiday album and I, for one, am extremely curious to hear this collaboration. Isn’t Justin Bieber the same age as Mariah Carey’s twins? This is definitely a pair I did not expect to unite, which got me thinking about other crazy combinations I would get a kick out of hearing. Here are ten that would surely tickle my fancy.

1.  Taylor Swift and Kanye West – You simply cannot deny that seeing these two together for a song would be entertaining. Kanye did apologize for his VMA outburst, so I’m sure the duo would work lovely together. That is, until its time to make a music video and all hell breaks loose, as we know how much those music videos mean to good ol’ Kanye.

2. Another pair I would love to see is Kim Kardashian and her former BFF Paris Hilton. Does everyone remember Paris’s hit single “Stars are Blind” and Kim K trying to add singing to her resume with the song “Turn it Up?” Although I’m sure most of us wanted to “turn it down,” hearing the two wannabe pop stars together would be a treat. Individually they may sound like dying cats, but together they are sure to be… something.

3. Eminem and ex-flame Mariah Carey – According to the rapper, the two shared more than a few intimate moments together, which Mariah continuously denies. Sure enough, both celebs voiced their opinions of one another in a song. While Carey repeatedly asked “Why You So Obsessed With Me,” Eminem did what he does best: name called, threatened and divulged a little too much information regarding the pair’s steamy night together. What better way to release all of this built up sexual tension than to sing it out?

4.Celine Dion and 50 Cent – I’m not sure why or how these two could join forces, but I would thoroughly enjoy it if they did. Dion’s powerful, tender voice mixed with 50 Cent’s gangsta ways would definitely be an audio track worth listening to. I feel a number one iTunes download coming soon.

5. The Real Housewives – Bravo’s hit Real Housewives series has produced some very…well…interesting musical talents (if you want to call them that). First we have Countess Luanne’s infamous single “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” which I continue to sing in the shower. Then there is Kim Zolciak’s brilliant song “Google Me” and Danielle Staub’s “Real Close,” which is sure to be recognized one of these days. And how can we forget Melissa Gorga’s recent release “On Display.” Now of course the housewives were fabulous independently, but how phenomenal would they be all together? Thinking about it gives me the chills. Can Andy Cohen please make this happen ASAP?!

6. Former lovebirds Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake should totally be the next twosome to record a song. Their days together in the Mickey Mouse Club are far-gone, just like Britney’s hair was in 2007. I think a reunion is in order, not to mention long overdue. Maybe a flame will be rekindled during the recording process. It’s far fetched, but hey, you never know. Replace Andy Samberg with Spears for an unforgettable rendition of “D*ck in a Box.” Who wouldn’t want to see that?

7. Speaking of overdue couple reunions, wouldn’t it be sweet if Jessica Simpson teamed up with ex-hubby Nick Lachey for a smooth melody? I am aware of the fact that the stars have moved on and are both with someone else, but I really don’t think that their significant others would mind one bit. Let’s be honest, Jessica’s figure is no longer seen as a threat, so I’m sure jealousy would not be a factor.  Just saying…

8. I always love a good celebrity feud, but sometimes its better to kiss and make up. What better way to put the past behind you than to do one happy Disney duet? I’m talking about Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. Cyrus mocked her fellow Disney star in a 2008 YouTube video. You know how kids are. The girls have done a lot of growing up since then and are at least ten-years-old now. I think its time to throw in the towel and work on a team project. “Hannah Montana meets Wizards of Waverly Place”…potential album title?

9. Justin and Britney got me thinking about someone else Timberlake would be perfect with and that someone is Janet Jackson. The two haven’t worked together since the whole nipple thing, which is ridiculously silly if you ask me. One rip of the nip shouldn’t affect your work relationship. If anything, I thought that the halftime show reveal would have brought the two singers closer. Never mind a single, I think its time this duo performs live once again.

10. The last crazy combo sure to be a success is the Jonas Brothers and the Judd sisters. Can we say modern day “Brady Bunch?” What the music business needs is more family collaborations and combining the two sibling groups would be nothing short of glorious. Bright neon jumpsuits, long flowing hair and some energetic beats is all this crew needs to get back in the spotlight.

And you thought Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey was a bizarre pair! They have nothing on these ten.

Sam The Cooking Guy does his part for Mama’s Pies

It’s almost the holidays, so for me, that means food. Especially PIE!!! I looooove a good pie, but then who doesn’t But since I work three jobs, I don’t really have enough time to bake my own dang pie.

If you are in the San Diego, why not get your yummy pies for Mama’s Pies, and do some good at the same time? You might even win something. I mean, besides a full tummy and that satisfied feeling of doing something good at the same time. And YOU ALL KNOW how much supporting those with cancer means to me.

EAT A PIE SAN DIEGO!

Mama’s Kitchen, a nonprofit organization that delivers healthy meals at no cost to San Diego men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS or cancer, presents their seventh annual Mama’s Pie in the Sky Thanksgiving Bake Sale. The fundraiser officially begins today, Oct. 3 and runs through Nov. 20, 2011. Pie buyers can purchase fresh pumpkin, pecan, apple and no-sugar added apple pies for just $20 each; with $15 from each pie being tax deductible. Pies can be purchased online via www.mamaspies.org or by calling (619) 233-6262.

All proceeds from pie sales go directly into funding thousands of free, hot and nutritious Mama’s Kitchen meals, which help ensure that no one living with AIDS or cancer will go hungry in the San Diego community. This year, the popular “Love-A-Client” Pie raffle returns. Purchase a pie to be delivered to a Mama’s Kitchen client on Thanksgiving and enter to win a 64GB iPad2. The more client pies purchased, the more chances to enter and win. Individuals and sales teams will also have opportunities to win prizes from generous sponsors.

Mama’s Kitchen hopes to sell more than 6,000 pies during the six-week sales period, which will raise $125,000 and fund nearly 40,000 meals. Individuals and teams are encouraged to volunteer to sell pies for a chance to win prizes from generous sponsors. Pie sellers are also encouraged to use their social media networks to promote their participation in Mama’s Pie in the Sky, as all sales funnel through their sales website.
