Getting older is difficult enough for non-celebrities, but in the world of entertainment, aging can be your worst enemy. For former Sex And The City actress, Kim Catrall, it can be cruel. She sat down with Psychologies Magazine and talked about how difficult it can be for entertainers to age, and the double standards that come with it.

“I think the scrutiny of women is obscene. If you don’t do anything, you’re like an old hag; and if you do, you’re a plastic surgeon ‘victim’. Where can we go to age with respect and dignity? People won’t let us, particularly in America. It’s just so cruel.” [FF]

So what’s a girl to do?? Kim is starring in the new movie ‘Meet Monica Velour’, where she plays an aging porn star who turns to stripping and stars a relationship with a young fan.

“One of the reasons I made ‘Meet Monica Velour’ is because I’ve had enough of it. I’m not Barbie, I’m not made by Mattel, I’m flesh and blood and it melts you know – get used to it. I’m not going to turn myself into the Joker in ‘Batman’ to get jobs. It’s hard getting older – especially for an attractive woman, because your looks are something that were on your side – but you need to put in perspective.”

I think having women like Kim Catrall showing us all that you can be beautiful and aging at the same time is great. Wrinkles are not the enemy!!!

Always one to have a good laugh at her own expense, Real Housewives of Orange County favorite, Gretchen Rossi, mugged for the cameras as she showed her patriotic style. She hosted a bikini pool party at the Bare Pool Lounge in Mirage Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, NV yesterday (July, 2).

Gretchen, who has spoken openly about her past struggle with bulimia, looked fan-tas-tic in her stars and stripes bikini.

I wonder if that tan was from her own spray tan line?
