Hot Momma, and Skinny Girl founder, Bethenny Frankel is taking a little respite now that her show “Bethenny Ever After” is done for this season on Bravo. The season ended with Frankel partnering with one of the biggest spirits distributors in the world for her Skinny Girl Margarita line making MILLIONS of dollars off of the deal. *faints*
“I love the show, I’m proud of it,” Frankel told PEOPLE at the National Magazine Awards on Monday. “It’s been a very emotional, intense season. But we’re starting filming in July for season 3, and I need the hiatus.”
She recouped with husband Jason Hoppy at the Viceroy Anguilla for two weeks after filming, she said, and since then has been trying to slow down. “I have really checked out of my own life a lot,” the reality star, 40, said. “I’m laying low. I really hit the wall going 90 miles an hour.”
If you are a fan of the show, and of Frankel, as much as I am, you would understand why this woman needs a break! She was finishing up her latest best selling “A Place Of Yes”, doing a book tour, fixing issues with distribution of her cocktail, raising her newborn daughter, and getting used to being married to her new husband Jason! WHEW! And I thought MY life was hectic!
Girlfriend, go have a cocktail, take bathies with the baby, and spend time with that man. Goodness knows Bethenny has worked her ass off to get to this point. And to be honest (yes, even a gossip monger can be honest) I find Bethenny to be an inspiration every day.
There’s no real reason for a shirtless photo of Dr. Foxy. Just say thank you.
On Friday, Dr. Drew had an open and honest discussion with viewers about sex and relationships with special guest, former Loveline host, Adam Carolla. Just this week Justin Timberlake shunned the idea of “casual sex” and “friends with benefits” saying it’s impossible to have sex without an emotional attachment. Dr. Drew’s discussion focused on answering questions such as: Why do men and women engage in casual sex? What happens when sexual chemistry fizzles? And much more!
Here’s what Adam Carollahad to say to a couple discussing their lack of a sex drive:
“At a certain point, it’s like exercise. You take a few weeks off, or you mess your ankle up, you roll your ankle, you take a few months off. It’s really hard to just get back into it just because you haven’t been doing it. Some things you stop and you don’t start again because you’ve stopped, in a weird way. And the longer you’ve stopped, the harder it is to get back into it. And there’s a part of me that just wants to say, ‘just do it!’ Just hold still and do it! You don’t have to enjoy it, just to shake them cobwebs off, reset those bones!”
I Love love love Bethenny Frankel. I’ve loved her since Season 1 of The Real House Wives of NYC, when she was living in a tiny apartment trying to carve out a piece of success. I even started making my own version of her Skinny Girl Margaritas.
Then of course there was her turn as Roller Girl, but that was a whole other love for Bethenny.
Now is the season finale of her own show, and things are about to hit it big! Did you see her on Watch What Happens Live last night with Andy?? I can. not. wait.
Bethenny’s ever growing business hits an important point this week when she gets an offer for SkinnyGirl. The suspense is killing her, but when she finally reveals the number, will it be to her liking? Also this week, Bethenny takes to the stage to answer her fan’s questions about her journey and her business. When tough questions about her relationship with her in-laws come up, will she be able to successfully answer without offending Jason’s parents, who also happen to be in the audience?
