Eminem did Detroit proud int he new Chrysler commercial debuted in the 2011 Superbowl.

Em was shown driving through his home town in the new Chrysler, with his “Lose Yourself” playing in the background, and voiceovers from what seems to be the guy who does the Versus channel ads. In the end he shows up at the theater serenaded by a gospel choir touting the greatness that is Detroit.

Cheesy or not, this 2:00 long commercial gave me chills.

Model and tabloid staple, Kate Moss, pretended to be shy and hid behind her GIANT “engagement” ring while out in Paris earlier today.

Ah St. Valentine’s Day… It brings us such warm and fuzzy feelings, and of course, love songs. But what about those songs that you may THINK are wonderful torches, but are really just WRONG all over.

I have your top 10… and here we go!

10. Extreme More Than Words. In the 90s Extreme seemed to be able to pull the wool over the public’s eyes with this “heartfelt ballad” about love, and tenderness. Little did we know that it was just a song about sex. Yup, in an interview the boys explained that they had written the song as an enough with the talk…let’s just do it song. I wonder what all those people who had it at their weddings think about it now?

9. Bryan Adams Run To you Ah the song that says “It’s so damn easy making love to you”. I never paid attention to the words, ever. But when I did, I lost all my love for Bryan and his professions of “staying all night”.

8. Frank Sinatra Strangers In The Night Old Blue Eyes was said to have DESPISED this song, but it’s been used in movies, dance floors and living rooms for wooing for decades! But really, it’s just about a one night stand.

It’s award season, but the biggest one of them all are the OSCARS. And to help celebrate Turner Classic Movies is bringing back the 31 Days Of Oscar.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is getting trivial with its annual 31 DAYS OF OSCAR® festival in February. The 2011 edition of the month-long event will feature more than 340 Academy Award®-nominated and winning movies, scheduled in trivia-inspired marathons. In addition, each night will feature a Best Picture Oscar winner at 10 p.m. (ET).

Among the month’s many interesting marathons are a collection of films starring Jack Nicholson, the most nominated performer of all time; four films that received nominations in all four acting categories; an entire day featuring all ten Best Picture nominees for Hollywood’s Golden Year, 1939, including Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz; a day of romantic comedies on Valentine’s Day; a night of Oscar firsts; a slate of films that earned Best Director nominations but failed to earn Best Picture nods; and a night of films that earned participants posthumous nominations.

The Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 will be presented live on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center® and televised live by the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
