It was today, January 13th 1990, that MTV BANNED Madonna’s Justify My Love Video. And I HAD to find it! Madonna collaborated with a lesser known musician at the time, Lenny Kravitz, to make the single. Lenny Kravitz WROTE this song!!!

This video is still controversial to anyone that remembers it coming out.  Or rather, not coming out. Cross dressing, bondage, a nod to the Night Watchman, voyeurism, hello!

You see kidlets, there was a time when MTV played these things called music videos, and few people had the internet. And NO YOUTUBE!

I sought this video out like it was… well, illegal. If I remember right, sales for this single were MASSIVE if only to see the video. I found it at a BLOCKBUSTER of all places.

And you can’t show Madonna’s Justify My Love without Wayne and Garth’s take on the unit on that guy…. SCHWING!!!
