Hey Y’all! It’s cyber Monday, so I thought I’d continue our techno-bee discussion on Holidays. I already told you how my family cyber stalks me, and just what would I do without the internet. Today it’s “How has technology changed our holiday experience?”

I don’t have any baby bees (the universe thanks me for that btw) but I LOVE LOVE LOVE to sit here at my laptop in my messy studio apartment my ivory tower surrounded by hunky men who compliment me every second, and watch Santa on the NORAD website. It’s like the best of my addictions to internet, presents, and unnecessary geography trivia. (You know you wish you were me)

Is there anything you do online that you didn’t do when you were a kid?

Do you find yourself sending e-holiday cards instead of traditional handwritten cards that get mailed? Is that good or bad?

So, I was wondering… How did I even do the holidays without the internet?  I have so many friends around the WORLD, China, Germany and even Pasadena lol…  My computer makes this so much easier.

The best thing is that I can order gifts online and then send them from the site!  No more standing in line filling out international customs forms, THANK GAWD!

Also, my family in Minnesota gets to keep in touch with me without having to actually talk to me   Typing is so much easier.

Now that Halloween is “out of the way” it’s time for everyone to focus on the most hectic time of the year.  The holidays will fast be upon us, lord knows I’m already planning Thanksgiving and all the drama that will bring along with it.

But I’m planning on doing something new this time.  I have finally joined the 21st Century and got myself a pretty little smartphone.  It’s a purple Blackberry and I bring it everywhere!   The best thing?  I can use the emails I get from family and friends as to who is bringing how many and what dishes all in my new purple phone    This is especially helpful because sometimes I get text messages from one and an email from another, and I can never remember to write it down, or if I do write it down, I lose it in the black hole that is my car.

Anyway…. what was I talking about?  OH!  The holidays, and technology, and how we don’t even realize what we use!
