It’s a boy for Alicia Keys! The singer welcomed her first child, October 14th, with husband Swizz Beats.

The singer and her husband, Swizz “Kaseem Dean” Beatz, “joyfully welcomed their first child,” son Egypt Daoud Dean, on Oct. 14 in New York City, reps for the couple confirm in a statement to PEOPLE.

This is the couple’s first child, though Egypt “is welcomed by Beatz’s three other children,” the statement adds.

There has been so much drama surrounding this couple, and now this little boy that I will refrain. I only wish the best for little Egypt.
