The crew for the new action movie SALT hit the Comicon stage yesterday for their final push. SALT comes out in theaters TODAY across the country.
I sat through this very uncomfortable panel discussion of SALT for my dear dear friend (dippedincream) because she told me not to come home without photos of AngieJo. Actors Angelina Jolie and Liev Schreiber hit the stage with the head writer, and director. I have to say that Liev Schreiber was a great interviewee. Self deprecating humor, engaging and genuine.
Once Angelina hit the stage, the cameras didn’t stop taking photos. It was flashbulbs the entire time. She wasn’t even DOING anything. Even if she was just sitting there *snap* *snap* *SNAP*.
Overall it was nothing we hadn’t seen and heard already but it was good for the “news” to have something to put up on the 6 o’clock news.
The newest trailer for Tron: Legacy was debuted yesterday at Comicon, and let me say, WOW! I was able to see this in 3-D along with a nice 8 minute clip of the movie. I cannot wait to see this in the theatre. Writer Steve Lisberger, and director Joseph Kosinski were part of the panel along with the actors.
Original actors Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner re-boot their original characters. Twist? Bridges plays Kevin Flynn NOW, and Clu (his computer avatar) at the age of 35!
Newcomers to TRON are Olivia Wilde, Garrett Hedlund (playing Bridge’s son) and my favorite, Michael Sheen. Sheen looks like he is going to steal the show, and with all that CGI, it’s quite a statement.
Daft Punk was drafted to do the music for TRON: Legacy and they even have a cameo.
It really was impressive to see the special effects, especially when it took you forever to realize that some things were indeed CGI. But those glowing suits? They really did glow. Hedlund explained that the suit was about 3/4inch thick and had a power chord running through it to power the lights covering the suits.
YES! I just came back from ComiCon in San Diego today, and one of the things I HAD to see was the antihero panel that included shows from Showtime, including Dexter, Nurse Jackie, Weeds and… Califnornication! Our dear dear David Duchovny (Hank Moody) was on the panel, sporting some SERIOUS bed head. And I loved it!

Lindsay Lohan’s mother and sister, Ali Lohan and Dina Lohan visited the incarcerated starlet in jail in Los Angeles, CA on July 21, 2010. Dina didn’t seem to mind being photographed in the slightest bit, while Ali took care to keep her face covered on their walk in.
At least someone in that family understands what shame is. BTW, where’s Ali’s brother?
