Don’t let her characters fool you, Ms. Kim Cattrall was born in Liverpool, England. She was raised mostly in Canada, but she often speaks about her love of Liverpool, especially since she’s been doing theater in the UK.

This weekend, Cattrall received a fellowship at the Liverpool John Moores University for her contribution to acting! Way to go Kim!!

She told hundreds of graduating students packed into Liverpool’s Anglican cathedral that the honor was “a dream come true.”

Wearing academic cap and gown, Cattrall told the audience that she was proud of her Liverpool roots, and said “whoever said ‘you can’t go home again’ didn’t come from Liverpool.” [KC]
