The Art of Elysium’s 3rd Annual Black Tie Charity Gala was last night (January 16). This year, the charity that provides art activities for ill children chose “Heaven” as it’s theme.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry strolled the red carpet looking oh so gorgeous together. I don’t know what workout routine Katy’s been doing but she looks fantastic!

That’s right lovelies! 101.5 KGB in San Diego is officially looking for a new radio show after letting Dave Shelly and Chainsaw go. Clear Channel, who owns KGB, said they just couldn’t come to an agreement. CC posted a job listing for the opening.

Will be required to prepare for and attend live appearances throughout San Diego County. Requires at least 5 years medium to large market experience in hosting morning or afternoon drive.

Hmmm sounds easy enough, right?

As for the latest from Dave, Shelly or Chainsaw (or Ruthie?) Dave Rickards posted on a facebook fanpage of the show about the whole issue.

Dave Rickards Hey friends, it’s Dave. Forgive me for not being a bigger presence here, as I am a complete novice with these sites. As I’ve said before, it’s a weird situation, that I just don’t understand. We tried awfully hard to work out a settlement. And by the way, none of the people who have written, posted or speculate…d on what happened, have even come close to the actual reason why we’re off the air. Not even close. Actor, Jeff Bridges, has been getting an awful lot of Oscar buzz for his performance as Bad Blake in Crazy Heart. If he wins, he’s going to have one name in particular to thank: Haagen Dazs. The actor went off the healthy wagon, and piled on the pounds for his new role as the hard living country singer.

“Normally I watch what I eat. I feel better when I’m in shape and not too overweight,” the star told PEOPLE at Sunday’s New York Times Arts & Leisure Weekend. “When you’re playing a part like [this] … If you feel like a pint of Häagen-Dazs, you hammer the Häagen-Dazs.”

Hm, that sounds like my kind of movie prep. The only downside is knowing you have to lose all that weight when it’s all over. Ooof!

I’m more than a chin, you know!

Alright.  This bee was talking to my friend, Geena, and we were talking brushes with fame.  Or rather, odd brushes with fame.  She won.  But, it’s not her site, so I get to tell you all about mine.

While going to grad school, I met Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, and currently in Burn Notice on USA) during a book signing for “If Chins Could Kill”. Even got a few pictures of him laughing “with” me.  That happens a lot when I meet famous people for some reason.

Actually, I’ve been able to meet a few famous people (even “Margot” from Punky Brewster!)

But I want to know… What was your oddest brush with fame?

Before she was known world wide as George Clooney’s girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis had a career as a Tv Presenter, actress and model. She has returned to modeling for Roberto Cavalli’s 2010 lingerie ads.

Roberto Cavalli said ‘For my next underwear collection I was inspired by a real woman, with appeal, charisma and sensuality. I was sure Elisabetta was just perfect for enhancing the spirit of this advertising campaign… and I was not wrong!”

And thank goodness they did their best to cover the tacky armband tattoo!
