San Diego Radio Wrap up

Wow, what a week for San Diego area radio!

Not only were Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw “let go”, but 91X , 90.3 and Magic 92.5 all got sold (to the original owner it’s rumored).

With Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw leaving 101.5 KGB as on Monday, it seems all bets are off on the dirty gossip.

Fellow former morning DJ’s Jeff and Jer even got in on the act. (Jeff and Jer got sacked last year from Clear Channel) Jer spilled the beans on the state of Clear Channel’s money issues, and just why all of the talent is being let go.

The North County Times and SDRADIO.NET also have GREAT rundowns on what’s going on.

And for those that are interested in voicing your concerns in person about DSC getting canceled, there is a rally scheduled for Wednesday.

    Yes ccr is having money issues. Its economy folks. Radio makes money from commercials. That u hear on air. U go buy the product. The advertiser stays on the radio making money then radio gets paid. Now when the cycle of life fails. Ur talent can’t get paid their money etc. Radio world changes. There is another cat ready to step up. Not saying that they will fill in as well as your favorites. So people.. Go buy things spend money so they can get their 1.2mill to split. Kioz now.. There is something shady with them. The leader of the show gets tossed bit the team stayed. Sounds like lack of communication. Good luck to the new djs that take over. Don’t give them crap though. They are just trying to do their thing. Have fun at this protest. I might stop by to watch this. The world moves on. Like death… We remember then we forget. I don’t see the dsc being in the history books with a VOICE IN THE HEAD reference or the king of douche ville.

    I think I’m going to be washing my hair. Great show. Great laughs. There was a lot of poiness ramblings weeks of reruns. Boyer was just a shallow pos.. With valid points. The other show I listened to made some changes. I love getting up to some talk some music.
