The husband of actress Brittany Murphy, Simon Monjack, wants everyone to know that she did not overdoes, or have an eating disorder.
“These rumors that she was anorexic? It’s crazy – she was slim, but that was her natural physique,” Monjack tells PEOPLE. “This is what’s killing all of us? How did it happen? Her mum, myself and her family – we want to know why we lost our baby.”
Brittany died Sunday morning from a complete cardiac arrest. Her mother found her in the shower.
When the hospital wanted to do an autopsy, Monjack originally said no, leading many to think that something was awry.
“My initial reaction to the autopsy was – they’re going to cut her open – I couldn’t bear it,” Monjack said, weeping. “That would break her mother, but we realized we needed to know. I look forward to getting the results.”
The results of the autopsy could take up to two months due to toxicology reports.
What a terrible event for this family. Our hearts go out to them.

What a year for Carrie Underwood. Her Cowboy Cassanova is a hit, she has a Christmas Special on Tuesday, and now her rep is confirming that she is engaged to NHL’s Ottawa Senators player Mike Fisher!
“I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “No wedding date has been set at this time.”
The couple have been dating for about a year, and have tried to keep things to themselves. That must be hard when both of you are celebrities. Fisher is said to have proposed this weekend.
Fisher, 29, reportedly proposed at his home Sunday afternoon and then sent messages to his friends with the good news later that day.
Sigh, seeing this video of Jessica Simpson ear candling herself and screaming should not surprise me. I’m surprised she’s able to walk down the hallway in the morning without wondering where she is.
Jessica posted the following video on her twitter account. Jessica is seen SCREAMING with an ear candle ablaze over her head, with a, sigh, pizza box used to make sure none of the ashes fall on her face. All the while her bff, Ken Paves, is filming her.
Ok, in one of my lives, I worked at a spa, and they STILL do ear candling there. It is NOT painful, and I have no idea why Jessica Simpson is screaming like someone is stabbing her with needles. The wax does NOT going INTO your ear. It burns away.
The candle is a cone shape, made of wax and linen. The cone serves as a chimney and pulls OUT your ear wax and yeast and whatever else is in the ear canal.
