You can’t keep Sean Connery from his vino, even when you’re his doctor. He was advised to stop drinking alcohol after he was found to have a heart condition, but Connery isn’t listening. Afterall, a little wine is good for the heart, right?

He tells Wine Spectator magazine, “I do drink red wine because of my friend David Murray, who owns two French wine estates. He showed me the evidence that it was good for the health.

So what types will be the death of him?

“I favour Merlots from Chile for their value and I keep a good deal of California wine in my cellar. I have one that cost me $2,000 for two cases, which I think is rather steep.”

I love that he takes the word of his friend who runs a winery over his doctors. Not that doctors are always right, trust me I lived with one who would call me from the emergency room to ask about a case he was working on. But I would think you should ask your doctor if a little red wine was OK instead of just plowing ahead on it.

Richard Belzer and Robin Williams film SVU in NYC

I LOVE Richard Belzer, Munch from Law and Order SVU. I love him as an actor, and a comedian. And he oddly reminds me of my dad. hm. interesting.

Anyways, Belz went on the Today show to promote his new book I Am Not A Psychic. It’s fiction, but he’s a character in the story. He said he did that because it’s so hard for people to distinguish life from fiction anyways, especially after him being on TV for so long as the same character. (he even had a shoplifter surrender to him ON SET one day!)

He also goes on to talk about living in France and how hard it is to write there. It’s just too pretty!

So I was watching Mad Men last night, missing Joan. She wasn’t on last night episode. When I get a message that Christina Hendricks got married last night (October 12). Hendricks plays Joan the HBIC in the advertising office.

Hendricks married her fiance Geoffrey Arend at Il Buco in New York.

The couple exchanged platinum wedding bands made by Tacori. “The rings are simple and lovely – so much like Christina and Geoffrey,” says Tacori rep Michelle Chila. Arend’s engraved ring matches her petite platinum ring with two rows of pave-set diamonds.

When they went ring shopping earlier this year, the two knew they had a match. “They put the rings on the table,” Chila says, “and said, ‘Look, they talk to each other. They’re friends.’ “

I cannot wait to see photos of Christina in her Carolina Herrera wedding gown. She said it was the first one she tried on and she loved it. I’m sure she was stunning!
