It’s funny how we as fans can’t tell the difference between characters, and the people that play those characters.  Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis has that problem a lot.  She may LOVE Charlotte York’s life on set, but she doesn’t feel the need to bring it home with her.

“I have just spent the day with my fake children. I get to do Charlotte’s days at home with the dogs and the kids and living her life. I love it.”

So, how are she and the Park Avenue Princess different?

“We definitely don’t share the focus on marriage and there have been some strange things written about me. I once went to a wedding and the next week there were stories with headlines like ‘Kristin gives up on her dream of marriage’, which was never something I was focused on. I am not goal-orientated like that.

“When I say no to being photographed, people get surprised because they expect me to be nice like Charlotte.”

Kristin is reportedly dating photographer Russell James, best known for his recent coffee table book on nudes. I wonder if we’ll be seeing Kristin in the buff anytime soon.
