In the never ending tributes to Michael Jackson since his death this summer, Janet Jackson will be performing a tribute to her brother at the Video Music Awards this weekend. And, Ms. Jackson will be OPENING the show!

No word on what exactly will go on, but it’s nice to see that MTV is having someone over the age of 30 on the stage.

The VMAs are also hosted by Russell Brand again this year.  He did such a good job last year, even if the kids didn’t get his jokes.
