Forty years after its occurence, the death of Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones is being reopened. Jones was found at the bottom of his swimming pool one night, and some people, including his girlfriend at the time, Anna Wohlin, have suggested that it wasn’t a suicide, but rather murder.
It was the research of an investigative journalist that prompted the police to reopen the case.
“These papers will be examined by Sussex Police, but it is too early to comment at this time on what the outcome will be.”
What an odd thing to happen 40 years later! Brian was 27 at the time of his death, and had just left the Rolling Stones.
