Pierce is a great man and great actor

Pierce was voted best step-father this year in Ireland. His first wife Cassandra Harris (a Bond girl herself leading to his introduction to the director) and he had Pierce’s first son Sean in 1983. She had two children with ex-husband Dermot Harris (Richard Harris’ brother) whom Pierce always treated as his own and even adopted after their own father Dermot died. What an amazing man. And how sad for the first two children of Cassandra to then lose their mother after losing their father. Pierce is legally there father. However, upon an “accidental” pregnancy with Keely Shaye Smith in 1996 with whom he had a very open relationship with it seems as though “stepfather” became his new title. What is odd and sad is the comparison of the two as step parents, for she is now a stepmother having married Pierce eventually many years after becoming mother to his youngest songs. Unlike Pierce, why is it she did not nurse a hurt and broken family glazed with tragedy? She could and should have been as saint like as Pierce. I am disappointed. And disappointed he did not hold the family together as she consciously put walls up around herself, her own sons, and the father of her children. That I do not understand.
