We wanted to give a big hooray to Garmin- Slipstream’s Blake Caldwell who did a local Time Trial in Boulder, CO on July 23. If you don’t remember, Blake fell off his bike back in April and broke his FEMUR!! ou-ch!
I got the itch and did a local tt this evening. It felt good to push hard again. I’m starting to feel decent on the bike again. It sure has been an up-and-down past month. Some nagging pains have been made it hard, but things are looking up

Ah MAN! Cyclist Jens Voigt of Team Saxo Banktook a MAJOR spill in stage 16 of the Tour de France. He was thought to have a broken collar bone and some other injuries and was FLOWN OUT via helicopter!
We are glad to know he’s doing ok, but man, he got beat up! Rest up Jens! There’s no need to push it at this point.
