Hello little bees. So, last night we drove all the way to Santa Monica to attend the Style L.A. Swim and Resort Fashion Show. Just to be clear, we did not get comped, just wanted to be there. And what a time it was! The event went to raise money for Operation of Hope an organization that gives children with facial deformities free operations.
Held at the Viceroy, in the pool area, it was very L.A. Beautiful people, in beautiful clothes, even the bartenders were pretty. There was even a drink for the night, the GlamTini. Most people, if not having the GlamTini, were drinking champagne. Would you expect anything less?

Along the pool were the cabanas, taken over for the evening by generous sponsors. The main sponsor for the night was Glam Palm (pic) debuting their new hot iron, and hair care line. Second cabana was held by RomancingDiamonds.COM. (pic) Beautiful robin’s egg boxes and cases, to hold the jewelry worn by the models. Sparkly diamonds, but very tasteful. And the representative , Shawn Asher, is very friendly and helpful. Last, it was the Secret cabana (pic) displaying the new antiperspirant Smooth Effects by Secret. This was THE tent to be in, or so it appeared by the overflow during the fashion show.
So, the FASHION! Swimwear and Resort wear. Very fun. And it was the perfect setting, and time of year, to see teeny swimsuits and fun clothes. Who were the designers? John Galliano, Gottex, Rock Star Original, Vitamin A, Paul & Shark, Tibi, Guess, and Valery Blu…..Claudie Song. The Galliano had never been shown before, very cool. I really liked that some of the models were a little more curvy than you would have expected.
It was all so lovely, I met some great people, and I saw one or two famous people. Ok I just SAW Lorenzo Lamas from across the pool, but I did get to say hello to Project Runway Season 2 alum Nick Verros,(pic) and stars of Disney’s “As the Bell Rings” Seth Ginsberg and Carlson Young.(pic) All were very gracious and accommodating.
All in all, this was great event. With the money going to help in facial work for children from Operation Hope made it even more worthwhile. OH! And we got gift bags! Who doesn’t love a gift bag?
