Kim Cattrall is single now
Star of Sex and the City, actress/producer Kim Cattrall, is now a single lady, leaving her chef boyfriend, Alan Wyse, of five years. But why have they split? If the Daily Mail is to be believed (I know I know) it’s because Alan didn’t want to be a ‘kept man’ but rather was hoping to focus on his own career. Alan’s dad told DM
‘Alan is Howard Stern’s personal chef, so he is always on call. He has to work weekends a lot, which is when Kim gets most of her free time, and she wanted him to accompany her on promotional tours abroad.
‘The last trip that she invited him on was to China, but Alan couldn’t just drop everything and go.’
‘Kim is sweet, classy and has been really generous to Alan. They lived in a £10,000-a-month New York apartment. But they split because he wouldn’t give up his work. ‘His job is too important to him for him to give it up.
It’s quite a wrench for me that he has split with Kim, but I don’t think Alan is too upset. ‘He’s a grown man. He needs his independence – to stand on his own two feet.’
I kind of agree that Alan needs to learn to live on his own, he’s only 30 and if he’s been living wtih Kim for 5 years, he more than likely didn’t have too much time of being independent. Too bad though, they seemed to really like each other.
The official word, though, on why they split? Kim’s spokesperson say ‘They were going in different directions.’

If you haven’t married someone after being together for 3 years.. I’m pretty sure there is a reason. Like verizon says, “New every 2″ haha.
